The purpose of this Invitation to Bid is for Pierce County to secure the services of an electrical Contractor to perform miscellaneous skilled electrical maintenance, repairs, replacements & support for Pierce County. The Contractor will work at various Pierce County Facilities or leased spaces located in Pierce County, on an as-needed basis. The County does not warrant, either expressed or implied, regarding , the actual amount of work- to be performed under this bid. The county reserves the right to increase or decrease the amount of work or to eliminate one or more items prior to or following the award of the contract. The basis of payment will be the actual unit bid prices for the item of the work performed and measured in accordance with these specifications. Work shall be performed at various locations various locations including but not limited to Remann Hall, County Jail, County/City Building, Central Maintenance Facility, and the Chambers Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. At a minimum the Contractor must have the capacity to provide services to the Pierce County as listed below: • Ability to complete all electrical work, electrical feeders, control wings, wire, outlets, switches, power disconnects, light fixtures and other miscellaneous industrial electrical work. • Ability to work in confined entry spaces. • Ability to self-perform core drill services of 4” or less and contract for other core drilling services to provide a complete electrical pathway when required. • Ability to demo existing electrical. • Ability to submit plans for review and permitting with Authorities having jurisdiction, obtaining inspection, and closing out permits. • Ability to document as-built conditions for completed projects. • Ability to install electrical fixtures, transformers, etc. and work at heights with ladders or manlifts. • On site workers must pass a thorough background investigation. • Ability to inspect and test all electrical systems, services, and components. • Ability to Install, service, and support EV charging systems.
