Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor will provide snow plowing equipment and ice maintenance (see Deicer requirements below) services to keep campus entrances, parking lots, and roadways clear of snow and safe for normal passenger vehicle traffic and parking activities. The contractor will monitor the local and regional weather conditions and will respond without request from the College to provide snow plowing or de-ice services as needed in the event of severe weather conditions. Once 2” or greater amounts of snow accumulation or temperature below 32*. The contractor will guarantee snow plowing and ice maintenance services will begin once trigger depths or temperatures have been met. Immediate attention will be directed towards the entrances, roadways and parking areas identified as priorities by the College. Secondary areas such as parking areas will be completed before the crews and equipment leave the site. It is the intent of this contract that all areas will be plowed and ice maintenance completed as early as possible on weekdays. This agreement does not include hand shoveling or ice maintenance on pedestrian sidewalks or stairs. The College, on a case-by-case basis for an additional fee may request these services. Once the contractor has serviced the entire site to the agreed upon level of service, the College will be responsible for requesting additional stand by services.
