Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1. Contractor to furnish and install those units as outlined in the Bid Unit Sheet per the Benton PUD Construction Standards and the unit definitions in the bid sheet. Contractor to draft, apply, and submit to Benton PUD a WSDOT Road Permit. Benton PUD will submit to WSDOT the application, make payment on the fee, and administer with contractor any required edits required by WSDOT to accomplish the task of obtaining an approved permit. See Bid Unit Sheet for additional information. Contractor will be required to adhere to Benton PUD warehouse procedures for obtaining owner furnished materials. Fiber Optic Cable for this project has been tested and is in good condition. OTDR shots will be made available to awarded contractor. Further guidance for fiber optic cable is provided as a construction standard. Benton REA Pole Applications have been submitted by Benton PUD; no make ready is expected at time of bid. Benton PUD to obtain Benton County Permit. Contractor authorized Working hours are 4 days a week, 10 hours a day unless otherwise specified by permit. Construction to commence at a date mutually agreed upon with Contractor and Benton PUD/NoaNet, but no later than 21 days upon receipt of DOT permit, weather permitting. Construction to be completed within 90 calendar days upon Notice to Proceed, which will be delivered no later than 7 days prior to mutually agreed commencement date. The 90 calendar days to complete the project includes splicing, clean-up, and owner acceptance. Contractor may elect monthly progress billing provided units invoiced are for those that have had cable installed either in conduit or attached to poles. Contractor will be required to submit affidavit of wages paid to Washington State LNI for every progress invoice.
