• Contractor to provide general construction services at various facilities in Pierce County on an asneeded basis. This work is technology focused, program-wide, network infrastructure type projects. o Work may include a variety of construction related activities including new construction, modifications, adds/moves/changes, and repairs at various facility locations throughout Pierce County, including but not limited to: general and specialized construction activities (examples: painting, ceiling tiles, cabling, electrical, core drilling, conduit/wire mold, recabling for workstation modifications or other incidental related work as directed by Project Manager). o It is anticipated that some projects may require some limited design and/or preparation of construction documents for turnkey projects based on job walks conducted by the Project Manager and for purposes of obtaining permits. • It is intended the provider shall deliver a complete project as requested. Contractor agrees to provide all necessary expertise and services to professionally and diligently prosecute the work authorized by Purchase Orders to be issued by the Project Manager. • Contractor must be properly registered as a contractor in the State of Washington, and also properly licensed to perform electrical and associated work as required by RCW 18.27 and RCW 19.28. o Specialty licenses are required for any specialty work as required by Washington State and per the Structured Cabling standard specifications. A Statement of Work will be provided with each job request and may include contract terms and conditions; additional specifications beyond those already included; drawings; time for completion; and other special conditions required by the Purchase Order, as applicable. • It is intended for most projects the Project Manager will notify the Contractor with a basic description of the job, including time and place to meet. Contractor will meet with the Project Manager at the site and review the basic scope of work. Depending on the job, the PM will also provide appropriate drawings, specs and permitting information. Contractor shall then develop and submit proposals based upon information received at the job walk. Contractor will estimate quantities and what construction tasks are necessary, develop a schedule to perform the work and submit a list of subcontractors who will be hired for the project. The quotation shall use the contract labor rates and approved mark-ups. • Work shall be provided in accordance with the Purchase Order to be issued by the County under the contract resulting from this procurement and shall be subject to the general provisions of the contract and contract compliance requirements accompanying this RFP, including any additional provisions specified in the Purchase Order with regard to schedule, key personnel, and subcontractors.
