Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Nature Trails Park Forest Restoration Project goals are: • Assist forest resiliency to climate change • Improve functional hydrology • Improve air quality • Improve connected habitat • Provide recreational access for pedestrians • Increase community involvement in forestry programming. To meet these goals the management objectives for Nature Trails Park the following forestry management techniques will be used: • Establish an evergreen canopy • Improve abundance and diversity of native plants • Control invasive plants • Enhance wetland and stream health and function • Limit encroachment, illegal dumping, and spur trails • Maintain existing main trails • Maintain rain garden • Enlist volunteers for events and long-term stewardship
