Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.Serve as regional liaison and advocate with school districts, Educational Service Districts (ESDs), local education associations and other public schools, including all identified OSPI support providers about their promotion and support of National Board Certification, especially in schools on OSPI’s list of identified schools.2.Serve as liaison and advocate with teachers interested in pursuing National Board Certification, focusing on diversifying National Board candidates and the NBCT workforce, and promoting accomplished teaching for students with disabilities, students of color, students experiencing poverty, and students learning the English language.3.Coordinate and support regional outreach and mobilization efforts for understanding and recognizing the impact on student learning throughNational Board Certification.4.Attend any meetings and appointments OSPIindicates pertinent to project efforts including, but not limited to:a.Up to five (5) Regional Coordinator Face-to-Face meetingsb.Up to five (5) Regional Coordinator virtual meetingsc.Co-plan and co-present at least two (2) Facilitator Support Webinarsd.At least two (2) cohort meetings within the assigned region to support and represent OSPI and Washington’s National Board Network partnerse.Regional candidate information sessions and network partner-led seminars, as requestedf.Projects may require additional collaboration outside of regularly scheduled meetings5.Communicate with state partner organizations such as Washington Education Association (WEA), Center for Strengthening the Teaching Profession (CSTP), and the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS).
