The purpose of this Request for Proposal (“RFP”) is for CAPAA to solicit proposals from potential vendor candidates (“Vendors”) to provide educational programs on Lunar New Year for kindergarten through twelfth. Vendors should develop programs that teach the cultural practice around the various Lunar New Year celebrations around the world, with an emphasis on celebrations in Washington State. Vendors should develop these programs for online access, including tablet devices, with videos and interactive components. Teacher training materials should accompany the programs. CAPAA will upload the programs the vendors develop onto the agency website. The Vendor’s proposed Lunar New Year programming should include a complete scope and sequence of activities for kindergarten through twelfth grade including documentation that such courses align to the Washington State social studies curriculum (see: Washington State K–12 Learning Standards for Social Studies)
