Statement of Work
SWFPAC requires engine repair and replacement for two Lenco BearCat armored vehicles, one for diesel engine and tire replacement, and the second for diesel engine replacement.
Applicable References: OEM service manuals, Ford F-550 chassis specs, and Lenco BearCat maintenance manual.
1. Purpose:
This Statement of Work defines the requirements for two (2) Lenco BearCats:
- Lenco BearCat #1, USN 95-31822, requires a complete replacement of the diesel engine, front axle, and installation of a new set of heavy-duty tactical tires.
- Lenco BearCat #2, USN 95-31820, requires complete replacement for diesel engine.
Each Lenco BearCat armored vehicle shall be restored to full operational capability to ensure continued performance is in accordance with manufacturer specifications in relation to requested repairs.
2. Scope of Work:
The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, and materials necessary to perform the following tasks:
2.1 Lenco BearCat#1, (USN 95-31822), VIN: 1FDAF5HT3BEB33142:
Engine Replacement (6.7L Power Stroke Turbo-Diesel V8)
- Long block (part #DC3Z6007BRM)
- Long block labor and parts - (Complete) Includes new turbocharger, injectors, fuel rails, injection pump, glow plugs, intake manifold, water pump, oil cooler
- Replacement of all seals
- Replacement of all coolant
- Replacement of all tubes
- Replacement of all miscellaneous gaskets , fluids, and cleaners
Tire Installation:
- Remove, mount and balance oversized tires, quantity 4, Goodyear G622 RSD 255/70R22.5H/16PLY
2.2 Lenco BearCat #2 (USN 95-31820), VIN: 1FDAF5HT1BEB33141:

3. Standards and Requirements:
All replacement parts and components must meet or exceed original manufacturer standards. Work shall be conducted in accordance with OEM technical manuals and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
The Contractor shall be responsible for all quality control, all inspections, and any required factory tests and inspections.
The Contractor will dispose of replaced engine, engine components, and hazardous waste per local, state, and federal regulations.
Any part replacement and / or additional repair cost (Labor and Material) beyond the SOW must be approved by the Contracting Officer.
4. Deliverables:
The contractor shall be responsible for all quality control, all inspections, and any required factory tests and inspections to include:
- Completion checklist for each component installed.
- Test report showing successful engine, axle, and tire performance post-installation.
Warranty documentation shall be provided for all parts and labor.
The contractor shall dispose of replaced engine, engine components, and hazardous waste per local, state, and federal regulations.
5. Delivery of Items:
The Government POC will coordinate delivery and pick up of vehicles upon contract award.
6. Period of Performance:
All tasks shall be completed within 30 business days from the date of contract award, unless otherwise negotiated.
