4.1 Engine Delivery 4.1.1 Owner will provide transportation of the main engine to the OEM authorized service facility. 4.1.2 OEM authorized service facility will provide transportation to Owner’s facility at the completion of all work. 4.2 Servicing 4.2.1 OEM approved service facility shall perform the recommended major overhaul to the main engine. 4.2.1.1 Owner has been advised that since this engine is considered severe duty a major overhaul must be carried out at 8,000 service hours. 4.2.1.2 Service facility shall ensure that in addition to the recommended equipment to be replaced, the saltwater pump and oil pan shall also be replaced. 4.2.2 OEM service facility shall provide all parts and labor to complete all work. 4.2.3 A Condition Found Report shall be provided to the Owner upon initial inspection of the overhauled engine. 4.2.4 If machine work is identified during the inspection, the Contractor will provide a Condition Found Report with an estimate of the repair expense. This expense will be paid from the Force Account. If machine work is not identified, no Force Account amount will be paid. 4.2.5 Once the overhaul is complete the entire engine shall be painted in accordance with OEM standards/colors. 4.2.6 Prior to redelivery to Owner, the OEM approved service facility shall perform a dyno of the overhauled engine at rated load to break in seals and provide the report to the Owner. Full duration of the dyno shall be no less than four (4) hours. 4.2.6.1 Dyno report must be provided to the Owner within five (5) business days. 4.2.7 Prior to redelivery to Owner, an authorized Kitsap Transit representative shall visit OEM authorized service facility for final inspection of the overhauled engine(s)...
