Description of Work/Services Needed: Coordination with County • Participate in 1-2 project planning meetings prior to initial surveys. • Coordinate with Board staff to plan timing and location of surveys. • In coordination with the county, provide regular progress reports detailing project status, challenges, and expenses. Work Plan and Survey Design • Develop and submit a work plan and survey methodology before field surveys commence. o The work plan and survey methodology shall outline a survey strategy and how the results will be reported. • The work plan shall include a proposed schedule of when various units and/or habitats will be surveyed. Field Surveys and Methodology • The Contractor shall complete field surveys for target species within the project areas. o Target species include all Class A, Class B and Class C noxious weeds in Kitsap County, as well as the Weeds of Concern list for Kitsap County, and those weeds on the State Noxious Weed Control Board’s Monitor List. o Priority species that require fine-scale mapping are a subset of target species. • The preferred survey design would follow the “intuitive control” method, which requires that all areas of high probability potential habitat for priority species be surveyed intensively by walking routes through each property. o All areas with high probability habitats shall be surveyed at the 100% level. o Areas with low probability shall be visually surveyed at 10% level. o Other survey designs will be considered if they are determined by the county to achieve project goals and provide requested data. • The survey should generally account for areas with low, moderate, or high potential habitat for the various species, and address the requirements of the field survey as described below...
