KCT is requesting bids for Construction Services to complete a project near Mineral Creek Trailhead in Kittitas County, WA that will include road decommissioning, installation of drivable dips, and road/ parking improvements. KCT is issuing this Request for Bids (RFB) as part of our larger effort to sustain bull trout populations in the upper Yakima Basin. Phase II of the Kachess River Restoration Project (KRRP) aims to complete a project that was started in summer of 2023 which restored streamflow and enhanced rearing and migratory habitat conditions for ESA-listed bull trout. The goals of Phase II are to relocate the Mineral Creek trailhead parking area outside of the floodplain and to restore the former trailhead, parking area, staging area, and temporary access road. Drivable dips will be constructed on the NF-4600 road leading to the old trailhead to restore hydrology. The new trailhead road and parking area will be reconstructed and improved. The KRRP Phase II is located entirely on US Forest Service land.
