Specifications include, but are not limited to: assist Family & Youth Justice Programs (“FYJP”) in fulfilling its mission to support child dependency court systems through delivery of high-quality judicial education and court system support. Contractors will be part of FYJP's Jurist-in-Residence Program which supports high quality judicial practice by making experienced, retired dependency judges available to mentor and train dependency judicial officers across the state. Contractors should have a working understanding of the child welfare court system in Washington State and the intersection of ancillary issues impacting child welfare involved families such as poverty, substance use, mental health, homelessness, and domestic violence.
