The goal of this engagement is to have a consultant work with key IT staff to gain an understanding of our current JIRA deployment, and time tracking and work management needs of all the various IT Units (both those currently using and not using JIRA). Then to make recommendations on how Pierce County can both expand work management within JS or JWM to encompass all units within IT while also deploying Jira Service Management. Additionally, as part of this engagement, Pierce County wants to enable the use of JSM to nonIT service areas, specifically the service group that provides support for our Workday ERP/HCM system, therefore, building a solid foundation with our Atlassian tools will be useful for scalability. Pierce County has a couple of experienced JIRA administrators; therefore the focus of this solicitation is on consultation and recommendations of best practices. The Pierce County resources want to do the work or be involved in the work being completed (as opposed to the consultant configuring the system offline and handing it over to Pierce County). Pierce County’s internal software development team can design and build any integration deemed necessary to and from our Atlassian tenant using a modern approach. We need guidance and expertise on the data required in Atlassian. Additionally, Pierce County has secured a separate Atlassian staging tenant where all of the development and stabilization can occur and is positioned to be able to construct those final configurations, and any additional Atlassian products/licenses, in our production tenant.
