• Conduct a comprehensive on-site inspection of the outdoor shooting range including all associated facilities and operational practices. • Evaluate the range against NRA range safety standards, Redmond Municipal Code, zoning requirements, and Washington State law. • Assess conditions related to public safety, range layout, operations, environmental impact (e.g., lead management), noise mitigation, containment of projectiles, and signage. • Review any submitted operational or safety plans from the range operator, including but not limited to, rules and regulations, emergency protocols, personal protective equipment use, cease fire procedures, Range Safety Officer duties, use of warning flags and firearms and ammunition storage. • Prepare and submit a detailed written report of findings, including compliance status, recommendations, and supporting evidence. • Be available to the City of Redmond and its legal representatives to respond to inquiries, attend hearings, or defend findings in the event of owner challenges or disputes.
