WCHCS seeks to expand existing or support the creation of new programs to reduce the number of children experiencing a housing crisis or homelessness. Contractors will be expected to assist families to secure long-term housing stability and/or diversion by delivering family-centered problem-solving and advocacy to help households identify practical solutions for stabilizing their housing quickly and safely. Eligible participants will be currently housed but facing housing instability or eviction. Assistance may include financial planning, negotiating with property managers, navigating and securing other state-funded resources, or accessing a comprehensive package of health services or case management. Participants may receive also receive short-term, flexible financial assistance* to avert a crisis, however, more sustainable solutions should be prioritized over rental assistance.
