Specifications include, but are not limited to: KPUD will enter into an on-call agreement for Geotechnical Engineering services with the consulting firm that can best demonstrate experience and ability to perform services that include but are not limited to: • Determining existing site conditions. • Slope stability analysis. • Field and subsurface investigations. • Groundwater monitoring and percolation rates determination. • Geotechnical analysis, Geological assessments, and Geotechnical reports. • Embankment and grading recommendations, including soil borings and soils engineering. • Materials testing. • Preparing seismic design recommendations. • Preparation of plans, specifications and estimate packages. • Knowledge and expertise in groundwater modeling, hydrogeology, and groundwater surface water interactions • Any other related Geotechnical engineering services; Projects may include work related to: • Telecommunication/broadband projects • Water system projects • Wastewater system projects; The successful consultant should be a licensed expert in the area of geotechnical engineering and be able to provide specialized technical assistance, peer review, in addition to providing KPUD with related practical and sound advice during field investigation, problem identification, and design and construction phases of projects. Typically, work shall start within two (2) weeks, and results/reports shall be provided to the KPUD for review within six (6) weeks of receiving a Notice to Proceed for each Work Order. Urgent needs shall require work to be performed within a shorter timeline.
