Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Seattle Community College District VI, hereafter also called "Purchaser," is initiatingthis Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit proposals from firms interested in participating ona project to provide strategic advisory services to the Purchaser s Director of the GatesFoundation Pathways to Completion grant throughout the grant period, which is January2012 through December 2014.The Gates Foundation Pathways to Completion grant focuses on ensuring that the threeSeattle Community College District VI colleges, which are North Seattle CommunityCollege, South Seattle Community College and Seattle Central Community College, developand sustain shared strategies, processes, and curricula to increase and accelerate studentsability to complete their degrees or certificates. Further, successes will be scaled up withinthe Seattle Community College District VI and shared with other community colleges in thestate of Washington.The Purchaser anticipates award of a single contract resulting from this solicitation, butreserves the right to award multiple contracts for portions of the work, and to separatelyaward contracts for similar work during the contract period.1.2. OBJECTIVES AND SCOPE OF WORKThe Contractor will assist the Purchaser s faculty and staff in a fact finding process toidentify and examine: Barriers to common practices among the three colleges Campus cultural differences Communication and decision-making processes Areas of alignment Existing best practices at the colleges Data on student demographics and success
