The FY23 Lift Station Upgrades Project will consist of improvements to three sewer lift stations in the City of Long Beach, Breakers Lift Station, and Lift Stations 2 and 5. The improvements to the lift stations will include demolition and wastehauling of existing equipment, rehabilitation and coating of two existing wet wells, and the installation of new owner-furnished submersible pumps and controls. Additional improvements will include the construction of new wet well lids and hatches at each lift station, a new saddle manhole and wet well top barrel section on Breakers Lift Station, new valve vaults at Lift Station 5 and Breakers Lift Station, and new force mains from the wet well to the discharge points at each location. The influent sewer line to Lift Station 2 will be replaced. The existing wood fencing at Lift Station 5 will be replaced with new wood fencing. New pump disconnect electrical seal-off vaults will be installed and Owner-furnished control panels will be installed at each lift station.
