Represent, assist and track issues in Washington, D.C. that are important to the State of Washington related to fish, and in particular salmon, and wildlife recovery and management, Puget Sound recovery, and agricultural incentive-based and voluntary stewardship programs. Develop and implement an effective strategy to maintain and increase federal funding for a variety of natural resource programs. For WDFW, RCO, GSRO and PSP: i. Salmon recovery initiatives, including Pacific Coastal Salmon Recovery Fund (PCSRF); ii. Puget Sound initiatives and funding sources, including the National Estuary Program and the Puget Sound Geographic Program; iii. Columbia River Issues – federal hatchery funding, Columbia River Treaty with Canada, and predation; iv. Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) stateside funding; v. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Puget Sound and Adjacent Waters (PSAW) authorization, and Puget Sound Nearshore Ecosystem Restoration Project (PSNERP); vi.
