1. Design of two primary gateway arches on S Meridian which includes structural engineering and electrical engineering for lighting. 2. Design of vehicular and pedestrian directional signage. 3. Design of pedestrian kiosks. 4. Design of vehicle parking signs. 5. Identify any streetscape enhancements required to install signage, including sidewalk, pavement, and roadway improvements. 6. Identify any utility extensions, relocations, or upgrades needed to install signage and gateways. 7. Compile a comprehensive inventory of existing signs in the project vicinity and propose a plan for removal and/or replacement with the new wayfinding signs. 8. Identify any signage conflicts that are either in place or arise by placement of the new signs. 9. Identify conflicts with existing infrastructure such as utility poles, street trees, traffic signals, railroad crossings, pedestrian crosswalks, driveways, bus stop shelters, etc. 10. Community Engagement & Coordination. a. Hold at least one public open house to discuss the final design. b. Give at least two City Council presentations to provide project updates. c. Prepare design information, presentation materials, and renderings for public display at the open house and City Council presentations. d. Assist with preparing content for the City’s project website. 11. Verify that all new wayfinding signs meet MUTCD standards, including sign spacing, sight distance, sizes, fonts, colors, and legibility. 12. Verify that all new wayfinding signs meet ADA standards and requirements. 13. Right-of-way: Right-of-way acquisition is not anticipated. However, the consultant will identify any property needed, current ownership, and estimated acquisition costs if deemed necessary. 14. Easement: At least one easement has been identified for the placement of a gateway arch. The consultant will coordinate with the City and property owner(s) to acquire any easements as part of the final design of the gateway arches and signs. 15. Preparation of construction and fabrication cost estimate. 16. Develop final construction contract (bid) documents, including plans and specifications for sign fabrication. 17. Assistance through the bidding process, including preparation of addenda. 18. Assist in developing geo-referenced record drawings for the project. 19. Assist the City with drafting and reviewing at least one grant application for funding.
