: The City of Fife invites qualified consultant firms to submit proposals to develop an Economic Development Action Plan. The purpose of the EDAP is to provide specific actions and strategies the city can implement over the next 5-10 years to support the economic development of the city. The action plan will be guided by the newly adopted 2024 Comprehensive Plan and the city’s strategic plan, as well as public and stakeholder input received though development of the action plan. Primary areas of focus: There are several focus areas that should be included in the project proposal. Additional focus areas and issues may arise during public engagement and analysis. • Support the development of Transit Oriented Development near the station area, and orderly development of other mixed-use around the station area, to activate and foster a lively City Center.• Provide achievable and prioritized strategies and actions to support the city’s strategic plan and the goals and policies in the new 2024 Comprehensive Plan. • Provide alternatives to sales tax revenue and direction toward a sustainable tax base diversified beyond auto and RV sales tax revenue. • Support the expansion of local retail, dining and entertainment uses to support Fife’s residents. • Support coordination and partnership with the Puyallup Tribe of Indians. • Include a business retention and recruitment plan.
