The City of Tacoma (City) - Tacoma Venues and Events Department is seeking a qualified vendor to perform asphalt maintenance services, including sealcoating and minor asphalt repairs, around the Tacoma Dome. The selected contractor will provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to complete the work in accordance with industry standards and applicable regulations. SCOPE OF SERVICES AND DELIVERABLES Project Overview: This scope of work outlines the painting requirements for doors, door jambs, painted concrete, bare concrete, mounted utilities and painted corrugated metal surfaces. The objective is to ensure high-quality surface preparation and application of specified paints and coatings per the substrate. All colors should match currently painted portions of the Tacoma Dome. Paint Codes will be supplied. 1. Work Areas and Surface Types A. Previously Painted Doors and Door Jambs Page 10 of 20 Request for Bids Specification No. PF25-0216N Template Revised: 05/09/2025 • Description: o Include both sides and edges of metal doors and full coverage of jambs. o Include painting of hinges but not panic bars or door handle hardware. • Preparation: o Clean all surfaces to remove dust, dirt, grease, and loose paint. o Lightly sand surfaces as needed to promote adhesion. • Paint Application: o Apply two (2) coats of black satin finish paint to all doors and door jambs. B. Bare Concrete Surfaces • Description: o Cinder block or concrete wall/pillars that are without any previous paint. • Preparation: o Clean surfaces to remove all dust, dirt, and contaminants. o Ensure surfaces are dry and free of laitance or loose material. • Priming: o Apply one (1) coat of Masonry Primer to all bare concrete surfaces. • Paint Application: o Apply two (2) coats of satin finish paint in either grey or black, as directed. C. Previously Painted Surfaces • Description: o Painted concrete wall/cinderblock wall/ dry wall • Preparation: o Clean all painted concrete surfaces to remove dirt, chalk, and loose paint. o No primer required for these surfaces. • Paint Application: o Apply two (2) coats of satin finish paint in either grey or black, as specified.
