A key mission for the Port of Seattle’s (Port) Tourism Development Department is to increase the economic impact of the Port’s cruise and aviation businesses by driving visitor spending from domestic and international visitors to Seattle and Washington state. As a premier US gateway, the Port works with a network of state-wide tourism partners to promote the Seattle region including lesser-known and lesser-resourced destinations and attractions. The Port employs destination stewardship and responsible tourism practices to ensure the benefit of visitor spending is felt statewide. The Port strives to do this by working on domestic and international travel trade marketing and media programs that require creative tools, graphics, resources, and materials that help drive impact and consumer demand. This includes the need to develop the following creative components: graphic design for communications, marketing, digital, social media and website; photo/video creation and production; advertising campaigns; and promotional materials.
