Whatcom County is seeking the services of a qualified provider for codification of its County Code, ensuring conformity with state and federal law in a format that will allow for growth and flexibility of the code structure. This project involves legal publishing services of the Whatcom County Code including ordinances to the Code. Services include design, production, printing, computer text output, an electronic version of the Code that is fully searchable, and internet hosting. Whatcom County will furnish the vendor with code text and ordinances in electronic format. The County will periodically send the Contractor newly adopted revised or amended ordinances. Affected pages of the Code, the index, and ordinance tables will be edited and revised to reflect the new provisions and/or modifications with appropriate headnotes, catch lines, footnotes, and cross references. All new ordinances will be inserted into the Code using the established code section numbering system. New ordinances not following this system will be changed accordingly. Newly adopted revised or amended ordinances will be integrated into the online code.
