Specifications include, but are not limited to: Tacoma Public Utilities (TPU), Water Division (Tacoma Water) is requesting qualifications and quotations for the cleanout and testing of two of their drinking water production wells. A tentative schedule and initial idea as to the needed scope is listed below: Table 1 – Tentative Schedule Well ID Planned Start Scope GPL1 Winter/Spring-2022 Cleanout, redevelop, test GPL2 Winter/Spring-2022 Test Cleanout and redevelopment shall be accomplished via surge-and-bail techniques using a cable-tool drilling rig. Testing will require that the Contractor provide a suitable capacity pump and power source. Given the power requirements, we expect that the test pump will be a dieseldriven line-shaft turbine which must be water-lubricated. Tacoma Water prefers that all site work be completed in a single mobilization to the project location, the well sites are approximately 650 feet apart. The Contractor can move between wells as the work is completed without demobilizing from the site.
