The primary objective of this funding is to support compliance with the CBPS. As compliance will look different from one building to the next, COMMERCE has identified two basic scopes of work as a framework for applicants. The two basic scopes of work relate to; 1. Building retrofit projects. These projects can include but are not limited to heating and cooling upgrades, lighting upgrades, building and HVAC controls upgrades, building envelope upgrades, and purchasing equipment and materials. These projects must directly correlate to bringing a building below its Energy Use Intensity Target (EUIt), in relation to the CBPS. 2. Contracted service projects. These projects can include but are not limited to developing an energy management plan, operations and maintenance program, energy auditing services, accounting support intended to either bring a building into compliance with the CBPS or identify a clear pathway toward compliance.
