The King County Facility Management Division’s (FMD) mission includes planning and delivery of capital development projects in order to cost-effectively provide facilities for conducting the government’s functions. It is FMD’s policy to incorporate principles of sustainability for all capital projects, particularly through energy conservation and resource efficiency. The purpose of this Request for Qualifications is to develop a pool of specialists that can provide capital project delivery consulting services on a work order basis for the FMD’s Director’s Office. The FMD’s Director’s Office is responsible for preparing capital delivery plans and strategies and providing overall management for high risk capital projects over $10 million. The Facilities Management Division is charged with providing these services for above grade facilities for many King County agencies, sections, divisions, and departments as stipulated in the King County Code.
