Specifications include, but are not limited to: CLOVER PARK TECHNICAL COLLEGE, hereafter called the College seeks a qualified consultant to assist with the implementation of a comprehensive Capital Campaign . The first phase, hereafter called Phase I, will consist of a comprehensive Capital Campaign Planning and Lead Gifts phase, the purpose of which will be to identify and obtain campaign pledges for a 2.5 million dollar campaign totaling 30-50% of the goal . The second phase, or the Major Gift phase, hereafter called Phase II, will consist primarily of cultivating and soliciting major gifts obtaining campaign pledges totaling 50-65% of the campaign goal. Clover Park Technical College is one of 34 public, two-year colleges in Washington State, and one of 5 technical colleges. Serving the 800,000 residents of Pierce County, the College offers degrees and certificates in a variety of professional occupations, including 13 health science programs. Originally founded in 1942 as a technical training program to support service mechanics at McChord Air Force Base and Ft. Lewis, the school became Clover Park Technical College with the passage of the Community and Technical College Act of 1991. Information about the College and its programs can be found at www.cptc.edu. 1.2 CAMPAIGN SCOPE The College recently received capital funding from the Washington State Legislature to construct a single facility which will house the colleges health science programs. While this appropriation covers the costs of construction, additional funding must be raised to fulfill the Colleges initial plans to develop a fully-modernized facility with equipment and technology that will adequately prepare graduates for a health care workplace that is increasingly dependent upon advances in technology. Additionally, because of our responsibility to serve the community, a scholarships component is included as well as raising public awareness and generating new volunteers and fundraising savvy board members are equally expected outcomes of this campaign. Support for this campaign is envisioned as a multi-phase process, with separate, but supporting timelines and deliverables. The deliverables for Planning and Lead Gifts or Phase I are as follows: - Create and complete an overall campaign plan including volunteer job descriptions, named gift opportunities, recognition opportunities, etc. - Finalize internal systems necessary to support the campaign policies and procedures, campaign reports, etc. - Complete and finalize the case for support, key messages, and developing printed materials as needed throughout the campaign. - Complete wealth screening and other prospect research activities - Finalize named giving opportunities - Develop job descriptions and committee work plans for the campaign cabinet and campaign steering committee members. - Assist with agenda planning and strategic direction of Leadership Team meetings - Conduct training appropriate for Board members, volunteers and staff leadership - Develop all campaign materials ie brochures, commitment form, FAQ, lead/major gift proposals, etc. - Recommend and help develop solicitation strategies for the campaigns top/lead gifts (including individuals, foundations, and corporations) who can be asked to support the campaign at the $50,000 and up gift levels - Assist with the development of solicitation strategies for the Colleges trustees, Foundation Board members, campaign Leadership Team and Executive Cabinet - Guide college staff in obtaining campaign pledges totaling between 35% and 50% of the goal
