1. Reality Capture and Existing Conditions Modeling 1.1. Utilize LiDAR and laser scanning technologies to accurately capture as-built site conditions for use as data sets and in models. Data collected will be used to create or update 3D models representing both existing infrastructure and new project elements. Transform data collected into models for a variety of uses. 2. Geospatial Integration 2.1. Provide Geographic Information System (GIS) support to ensure seamless integration of spatial data into project models, enabling accurate site analysis, asset tracking, and location- based decision-making. Support the bidirectional coordination of GIS systems with project and facility models. 3. Model Development and Lifecycle Management 3.1. Create and maintain multi-discipline federated models (BIM). This can include planning, project, and facility models. Maintain models throughout the project and operations lifecycles, ensuring they evolve in alignment with design changes, construction progress, and operational requirements. 4. Data Management 4.1. Conduct asset data collection and database population to ensure that model-linked information is accurate, current, and actionable. Data tabulation as needed. 5. Training Support 5.1. Provide staff training to build internal capabilities in VDC/BIM tools and workflows for project design & construction as well as operational phases. 6. Standards, Documentation, and Process Development 6.1. Draft and refine project documentation and/or processes including BIM standards, guidelines, and digital project execution plans (DPXP, a.k.a. BIM Execution Plans). Update or create contract language that aligns digital delivery requirements with overall project and organizational goals. Develop tools to support management of model processes. 7. Project/ Staff Support 7.1. Supply skilled personnel to support the Port Design Technology (BIM) team, perform compliance reviews, and provide general VDC/BIM support, ensuring efficient and timely project execution. Along with programming/coding/scripting (e.g. python, etc.) skills in building automation tools and workflows. Support our research into new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve processes, workflows and tools for project delivery during design and construction as well as operations and maintenance lifecycles. 8. Digital Twin Enablement 8.1. Build and support connectivity of digital twin models that enable real-time data interaction for both current and future facility conditions. These models will support ongoing monitoring, operations, and maintenance processes.
