Service Requirements On a weekly basis, Contractor shall check current stock of batteries stored in County owned locking racks and replace stock to bring all batteries to the agreed upon stocking levels. King County will provide a recommended starting stock to the vendor. If the Contractor or King County suggest changes to the stock, the Contractor has seven (7) business days to adjust the stocking levels. For stocked batteries that are not a part of the consignment program, the vendor will receive a PO from our ordering system indicating more batteries are needed, and they will be expected to deliver the entirety of the order within 5 business days unless otherwise communicated with King County personnel. Battery Recycling Battery recycling shall be in accordance with the Battery Recycling Law, WAC 173-303-120 as currently proposed and subsequently amended unless a comparable law/policy for recycling has been adopted prior to the time of delivery or pickup of the new battery. The successful bidder shall present a Used Battery Disposal Plan within five (5) days after notification of award of a contract. Cores Contractor shall be responsible for removing any used cores from King County property at the time of new battery delivery. King County shall not be charged for the removal and/or disposal of used cores. Used cores shall be disposed of in accordance with Subsection 2.6 Battery Recycling. King County shall not be held liable for the improper disposal or recycling of used or defective batteries.
