Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Mounting system i. Clamp-style system for standing seam metal roof, such as S-5!, or equal as approved by the Port and Solar Owner’s Representative. ii. Meet applicable local building code requirements with respect to snow, wind, and seismic events. iii. Contractor to specify proposed racking layout in bid response with diagram. b. PV Modules i. Tier 1, that adheres to IEC 61701 Salt Mist Corrosion Resistance for Level 6 requirements. ii. Bid Alternate 1: Use domestically produced modules to comply with domestic requirements for the Inflation Reduction Act 10% bonus credit. iii. The solar module warranty shall be for a minimum period of twenty-five (25) years. c. Inverters i. Grid-tied, string inverter optimizer system. ii. Acceptable manufacturers are SolarEdge or approved equal by the Port and Solar Owner’s Representative. iii. The inverter product warranty shall be for a minimum period of ten (10) years. d. Optimizers i. Optimizers must be fully compatible with inverters. e. Balance of System i. PV system AC disconnect, per NEC. ii. PV system production meter base to provide energy production metering for PV array. iii. All other DC and AC wiring, raceways, enclosures, components, fittings, and fasteners to ensure compliance with NEC, local AHJ and utility interconnection requirements. iv. A permanent fall protection system using a standing seam clamp-attachment style system will be installed during the project to provide safe maintenance access to the array. v. All necessary labeling required by AHJ, NEC and Puget Sound Energy; Installation a. Contractor shall be responsible for installing a grid-tied, net-metered PV installation at the BLI Airport. The installation must be compliant with the current NEC and/or local authority handling jurisdiction (AHJ). It is the installer’s responsibility to ensure code compliance with the local authorities. b. Contractor will provide adequate protection of the roof during the installation. This can include landing pads, protective barriers, balloon carts, and suitable housekeeping. No material will be permitted to be stored on the roof without a protective barrier. c. The Contractor will be responsible for mechanical attachments to the roof deck as determined by the proposed racking equipment’s specifications. d. Contractor will be responsible for coordinating construction with airport operations to reduce impact and risk to users and operators of the BLI Airport. e. The interconnection of the PV system must minimize interruption to any airport operations
