Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contest / Event Coverage – AT staff to provide event coverage beginning 75 minutes prior to the scheduled start of each contest. This is included in the estimated time indicated below. Contests do occur in the evenings and on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays). Schedules for Fall (soccer and volleyball) and Winter Sports (basketball) will be finalized and available by July 15th each year. Schedules for Spring Sports (baseball and softball) will be finalized and available by December 15th each year. For the average athletic year it is estimated that Pierce College’s eight teams will host the following number of games, tournaments, and scrimmage events: Volleyball - 8 matches (@ 4 hours per match) 3 each 4-team quads (@ 8 hours) 2 scrimmages (@ 2.5 hours per scrimmage) Soccer - 6 doubleheaders (@ 6 hours per date) Men & Women 4 single matches (@ 3.5 hours per match) 2 scrimmages (@ 3.0 hours per scrimmage) Basketball - 9 doubleheaders, which include one women’s game and one men’s game (@ 5.5 hours) 2 single women’s/men’s games (@ 3.5 hours each) 4 scrimmages (@ 3.0 hours per scrimmage) Softball - 11 doubleheaders (@ 5.25 hours per doubleheader) 1 scrimmage (@ 5 hours per scrimmage) Baseball - 12 doubleheaders (@ 6.5 hours per doubleheader) 2 single games (@ 4 hours each) 1 scrimmage (@ 6.5 hours per scrimmage) Total estimated contest / event coverage = 340.00 hours ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Training Room Coverage – AT staff to provide coverage of the Training Room at the Fort Steilacoom Health Education Center, and at the Training Room at the Puyallup Health Education Center. Duties will include, but not be limited to, pre-practice taping, injury assessment, evaluation and rehabilitation, and consultation with student-athletes and coaches. Training Room coverage at the Fort Steilacoom campus will begin the first week of official practice for Volleyball – beginning of August – and end the final week of Baseball competition – end of May. Approximate dates will be given at the beginning of each academic year. Coverage will take place two days per week for approximately 2 hours each day. The days and hours for this will be based on the changing needs of each sports season. Estimated training room coverage at Fort Steilacoom = 160 hours Training Room coverage at the Puyallup campus will be split into two periods. The first will provide coverage in the Fall, at the beginning of September and ending mid November. The second will provide coverage beginning in February and ending mid May. Approximate dates will be given at the beginning of each academic year. Coverage will take place two days per week for approximately 2 hours per day. The days and hours for this will be based on the changing needs of each seasonal transition. On-site visits to pre-season soccer practices, for the women’s and men’s teams, will occur two times per week in the month of August. Each visit will take one hour and will occur at Heritage Recreation Center in Puyallup, WA. Estimated training room coverage at Puyallup = 110 hours TOTAL ESTIMATED TRAINING COVERAGE = 270 HOURS
