Specifications include, but are not limited to: As part of the asset management plan development process, the City requests the following tasks be performed. 1.4.1 Asset Management Training As the initial start of the asset management plan development process, the Consultant will provide an asset management training update for the City staff. The update will help to provide a common understanding, a vision, and an expectation for the City. At minimum, the asset management training should define asset management, identify core processes, and establish a framework for the asset management plans to be constructed. Several key Public Works staff have received and participated in Asset Management training so the Consultant when preparing their RFP should assume that City staff have some working knowledge of the AMP processes involved. 1.4.2 Develop Asset Register An asset register is a database that houses all asset data required to support asset management decision. The Consultant shall provide the City with an asset register in a database format compatible with the City s existing system (i.e., CMMS, GIS). Asset register shall include all appropriate assets from drinking water and wastewater. At minimum, the asset register needs to incorporate: a) Asset hierarchy b) Asset classes c) Asset management data standards d) Asset definition e) Asset naming/numbering convention
