Seating Compacity: 8 passengers plus gear 2.2. Appearance and Lighting 2.2.1. Exterior to appear non-tactical, discreet and like a regular Suburban 2.2.2. Whelen light-emitting diode (LED) Red/White Blue/White lights 2.2.3. Minimum of two (2) lights on the rear of the vehicle 2.2.4. Two (2) interior mounted rear quarter glass lights with covers/reflectors to minimize interior light flashback on the interior 2.2.5. Four (4) grill lights 2.2.6. Lights must be either Whelen Ion T-series DUO or Whelen Vertex DUO models. 2.3. Mibility and Durability 2.3.1. Wheel type: factory style 18” wheels 2.3.2. Run-flat tires: Heavy Duty (HD), capable of at least 50 kilometers (km) at 50 km an hour after deflation 2.3.3. Suspension and brakes: HD suspension rated to carry armor conversion weight plus occupant/cargo margin 2.4. Protection Level 2.4.1. Ballistic protection: Must meet BR6 standards or equivalent 2.4.2. Blast protection: Floor must withstand two (2) simultaneous DM51 grenade detonations (blast and fragmentation) from underneath the vehicle 2.4.3. Radiator protection: Must include ballistic shielding for continued operation under fire 2.4.4. Reinforced front bumper: Must withstand impact/ramming 2.4.5. Full protection coverage required for: Vehicle body, roof, floor, engine bay, fuel tank, battery, air intake, electronic countermeasure (ECM) protection, fuel lines, front clip, wheel-well inner fender, and critical systems 2.5. Towing Capability 2.5.1. To include class four (4) or higher towing receiver package sufficient for light towing of up to 7,000 lbs 2.6. Siren and Public Address (PA) System 2.6.1. Vehicle to include a Whelan Police siren 2.6.2. Vehicle must be equipped with a PA system, including two (2) PA microphones. One accessible from the driver area and the second one accessible from the rear cargo compartment. The rear PA mic will be used with the rear hatch open 2.6.3. Siren and PA systems must be hidden from plain view and discretely placed for exterior appearances. 2.7. Communication System 2.7.1. Vehicle must be pre-wired for radio installation and accessories for two (2) Motorola radios, including all needed power, grounds, trigger wires, antennas, and communication cables. 2.7.2. Vehicle must have an installed OEM looking Shark fin style antenna with minimized height not to exceed 6’7” to have a discreet appearance as well to prevent clearance issues in garages 2.7.3. Installed Motorola Global Positioning System (GPS) puck required minimized height antenna to appear discreet but appropriate for dual-radio operation functionality. 2.7.4. Vehicle must maintain OEM radio capabilities.
