Specifications include, but are not limited to: The consultant will provide the necessary professional services, including all labor, equipment, and materials to successfully provide airfield technical support services, including senior and junior staff, as agreed to in service directives. Coordination with Port staff, Port consultants, FAA, and other agencies is likely to occur. Presentations in a public forum or to elected or appointed officials may be required. The consultant shall comply with local, state and federal environmental and other permit conditions. Typical airfield projects include pavement design and rehabilitation; building and terminal rehabilitation; airfield runways, aprons, and hardstands; security and communication systems, fire suppression systems, noise control facilities; blast fences; de-icing facilities; utility and drainage conveyance installations; and storm water facilities. Close coordination with Airfield Operations, airlines, FAA, and others. The Port is a leader in environmental sustainability and expects that all capital projects will evaluate and incorporate measures that reduce impact to the environment, to the extent feasible.
