The work under this contract is to provide professional services to develop an ADA SelfEvaluation and Transition Plan that meets all state and federal requirements. The Self-Evaluation component of the ADA Transition Plan will be a comprehensive assessment of all facets of accessibility in Tacoma’s public right-of-way. The ADA Transition Plan is intended to identify physical obstacles that limit the accessibility of facilities to individuals with disabilities, it will describe the methods to be used to make the facilities accessible, provide a schedule for making the access modifications, and identify the public officials responsible for implementation of the plan. The findings from the planning efforts along with prioritized schedule will be incorporated into the Vision Zero Action Plan and Transportation Master Plan.
