Specifications include, but are not limited to: Work under this item shall consist of the furnishing and construction of a Dome Style Salt Storage Building designed and constructed at the specified location, complete as specified hereinafter, for the purpose of stockpiling de-icing material to be used in the ice and snow control program for the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department. These Specifications cover the furnishing of all materials, labor, tools, equipment, drayage, rigging, fees, permits and any and all incidental items required for the complete furnishing and construction of a Dome Style Salt Storage Building, as indicated on the Plans, as called for in these Specifications, or as directed by the Engineer.Salt Storage Dome shall be a pre-engineered high quality dome structure, as manufactured by Dome Corporation of America, 5450 East Street, Saginaw, Michigan 48601; Domes America, Inc., 250 West St. Charles Road, Villa Park, Illinois 60181; or approved equivalent. B. The dome structure shall be approximately 50'-0" outside diameter by approximately 27'-6" high and shall have storage capacity of 975 tons (minimum) of salt. The capacity shall be calculated based upon salt with a bulk density of 80 pounds per cubic foot and a 32° angle of repose.
