The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of providing construction administration, field inspection and materials testing services for the construction of the 48th Street E Preservation project, scheduled for this fall and winter. The proposed improvements include removal of concrete panels, excavation, compaction and grading of a new pavement section, pavement marking, signing, surface restoration and traffic control. This project has a zero DBE goal for the consultant. The major features of the project are as follows: • Approximately 0.36 miles of pavement reconstruction to include excavation and removal of concrete panels, reconstruction of the pavement section including construction geogrid, crushed surfacing and hot mix asphalt. • Associated casting adjustments, shoulder repair and surface restoration • Pavement markings and permanent signing • Temporary traffic control
