The City of Anacortes (City) invites proposals from qualified firms for the design of a new two-million-gallon drinking water reservoir. The existing reservoir is in deteriorated condition and will be demolished, with the new facility constructed at the same location. The project scope includes design of the reservoir, a small concrete masonry unit building to house electrical, instrumentation, and control systems, as well as cathodic protection design. The selected consultant will also conduct hydraulic modeling to evaluate the City’s ability to maintain water service with the 29th Street Reservoir out of service. Additionally, the consultant will prepare a Project Report for the chosen reservoir alternative in compliance with Washington Administrative Code (WAC) 246-290-110 and the Department of Health (DOH) Water System Design Manual. The Project Report must document the basis of design criteria and include all relevant supporting information required for DOH review and approval
