1) Roadway Design - Work may include preparing contract documents (plans, special provisions and/or an engineer’s estimates) for projects and/or portions of City design projects on an on-call basis related to roadway design, including design of street geometry, driveways, sidewalks, curb and gutters, channelization, signage, and bike facilities. Work may also include design of storm drainage improvements that are directly related to roadway improvements. For specific instructions on information to include in SOQs, refer to the section below entitled SOQ Elements. 4) Water Utility Modeling - The City is looking for on-call hydraulic modeling and associated professional services to provide support in the City’s use of its water system hydraulic model, stored in InfoWater Pro. The city’s hydraulic model was last updated in 2024 in conjunction with the city’s water system plan update. Associated tasks for this on-call contract may include: • On-call consultation to Auburn staff in their use of InfoWater Pro • Periodic Hydraulic Model updates and calibration as new infrastructure is added or replaced • Perform pressure zone troubleshooting • Perform Fire Flow Analysis runs • Performing complete hydraulic analysis reports for developments per the city’s engineering design standards • Perform ‘what if’ scenarios for various system configurations and provide recommendations for improvements • Provide support for other tasks as assigned • Provide modeling training to City of Auburn staff
