The 2025 CLARKS CREEK ELODEA MANAGEMENT project shall provide for cutting and disposal of aquatic weed growth in an approximate 9,200 linear-foot project area of Clarks Creek, in the City of Puyallup and an approximate 6,600 linear-foot project area of Clarks Creek, in Pierce County. Cutting will be accomplished by a handle sickle/scythe method utilizing two contractors in the water cutting at a time, with catchment points and method to remove the cut Elodea downstream. The contractor must cut and dispose of all invasive weeds (including Elodea and Curly Pond Leaf) from the Creek, bank to bank. The contractor shall provide a staff member at the Puyallup Tribal hatchery weir to remove Elodea and other weeds that bypass the catchment point during cutting. The contractor shall supply all equipment and comply with all safety regulations at the contractor’s own expense. The contract work shall include all materials, equipment, labor, property access and coordination necessary to complete work.
