Specifications include, but are not limited to: Dig out and replace approximately 4,240 Square Feet of damaged asphalt with a minimum of two (2) inches of hot mix asphalt: Saw cut or mill edges of patches Remove material to a minimum depth of two (2) inches Compact base stone, prior to placing new asphalt Tack coat areas to be patched, prior to placing new asphalt Place and compact a minimum of two (2) inches of hot mix asphalt Apply hot pour rubberized asphalt crack sealer to approximately 5,500 Linear Feet of cracks: Prior to sealing the cracks, clean cracks by using hot air lance to remove all loose debris Seal cracks with parking lot grade hot pour rubberized crack sealant to the surface of the asphalt Overband the sealant to a film thickness Apply two (2) coats of commercial grade asphalt sealer to approximately 79,200 Square Feet of parking lot surface: Prior to applying the sealer, clean the lot surface by using forced air blowing and by thoroughly sweeping Apply oil spot primer to any remaining oil spots to ensure asphalt adhesion Using a commercial grade asphalt sealer, use an application rate of .2 gallons per square yard, based on concentrate gallons applied in two (2) coats Additional industrial silica sand is to be added to the sealer at a rate of three (3) pounds per gallon of sealer Painting and Striping (must be painted/repainted similar to existing painting and striping): Use only commercial grade latex traffic paint for striping Repaint approximately 6,380 Linear Feet of four-inch (4-inch) white lines Repaint four (4) spaces with diagonal lines to indicate “no parking” Repaint three (3) handicap parking symbols
