Specifications include, but are not limited to: The successful bidder shall provide all transportation, labor, supervision, equipment, incidental items, supplies, materials, and applicable licenses and permits for the collection and removal of waste and designated recyclable materials at each of Northern Virginia Community College (NVCC) campuses. The successful bidder shall provide and maintain various types and sizes of containers specified herein to include but not limited to toters, front load bins, roll off containers and compactors (does not include waste or recycle receptacles for use in the interior) . In addition, the successful bidder shall provide maintenance, repairs, or replacement of compactors and/or damaged roll off containers, bins, or toters within 48 hours. The successful bidder shall provide equipment and service equal to that which is currently being provided, See Attachment 4- Pricing Schedule. The College is currently recycling cardboard, aluminum and steel cans, paper, and plastic. The successful bidder shall use waste and recycling vehicles equipped with onboard scales, if available. The successful bidder shall provide the College with Excel-based monthly reports detailing actual tonnage of waste and recycling picked up at each site by campus and bin; and provide a plan as to how the College can maximize our reduction and recycling program.
