A. General Requirements: The project entails the conversion of existing span wire traffic signals to mast arm traffic signals and construction of physical improvements to the intersection, with a view to improving visibility and reducing crashes at the intersection of Warwick Boulevard and Harpersville Road. Additionally, the project will add a left turn lane, bore conduits under the roadway, drill and pour new mast arm foundations, and set new mast arm signal poles. The upgraded traffic signal includes individual signal displays per lane, video detection, and opticom emergency vehicle pre-emption. Pedestrian improvements include handicap ramps for ADA compliance, modified pavement markings, and pedestrian push buttons with countdown pedestrian signal displays.
