Specifications include, but are not limited to: Product & Service Quality & Pricing The City’s fleet will need thousands of unique maintenance & repair items over the life of the agreement, and the City recognizes the complexity involved with developing a pricing methodology for those items. Products are available from many manufacturers & vendors with mixed quality & durability, and even among comparable items, there is no consistent pricing benchmark that will allow for an easy price comparison. To this end, this RFP includes an approach designed to identify and compare prices on the items which represent the majority of expected volume, but is represented by a minority of items. This application is designed to minimize the effort in developing proposals, while still resulting in a valid cost comparison. Targeted Services The successful contractor shall ensure consistent service delivery throughout the agreement and any/all successive option years by meeting specific delivery time standards, providing high-quality parts, excellent management & execution of warranties, accuracy in reporting, etc. At a minimum, the contractor shall operate parts counter services from 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, as well as 24-7 during any/all emergency situations. The cost of providing the technical expertise, parts acquisition, accounts management and other services required by the agreement, will be charged to the City on an annual fixed-fee basis. Other Non-targeted services (i.e. overtime) will be charged on a time and materials basis.
