Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The Contractor shall furnish all labor and materials to deliver quality produce that will be fed to animals at the Zoo on as-needed basis. The amounts listed on the Quote Form are estimates only – there is no guarantee that this service will be required and there are no minimum number of cases guaranteed. 2. All produce items shall meet United States Department of Agriculture Agricultural Marketing Service (USDA AMS) minimum quality standards. 3. Produce shall be delivered in a standalone truck or vehicle not combined with any other cargo and shall be a. Fresh, b. Mature (ripe, but not overripe), c. Clean of dirt/particles/sprays, d. Free of damage, e. Free of pests and fungi, f. Well-trimmed, and g. Well-grown. 4. Produce shall have a minimum seven (7) day shelf-life upon acceptance by the Zoo. 5. The Zoo will inspect all delivered produce to determine whether it meets the standards set forth above. Produce that does not meet these standards as determined by the Zoo shall be replaced by the Contractor within twenty-four (24) hours at no additional cost to the Zoo. This produce shall be listed on a separate document signed by the Zoo and the Contractor at that time of produce delivery.
