1.) The pipe shall be in four sections: three (3) sections of twenty-foot (20’) length 54”(OD) and one (1) section of tenfoot (10') length 54" (OD). The total length of pipe provided shall be seventy feet (70') 54" (OD). 2.) The contractor shall furnish and deliver the specified 54” diameter, 0.500-inch-thick steel pipe meeting the following applicable standards according to 2016 Road and Bridge Specifications 232.02 (or latest revision) a. Pipe liner shall meet all specifications of AASHTO LFRD Bridge Design Specifications, Section 232.02(c)5 for Method C Pipe Rehabilitation. Steel encasement pipe shall conform to ASTM A139 with a minimum wall thickness of 0.5 inch or ASTM A53 Standard Weight Class and shall have beveled edges suitable for welding or be threaded. b. Steel pipe shall conform to AWWA C200 for the minimum design working pressure, wall thickness and type of pipe ends as specified. The protective coating shall conform to AWWA C203 for coal tar protective coating, and the lining shall conform to AWWA C205 for cement mortar lining as specified in section 232.02 of the Road and Bridge standards. 3.) The bid price shall be for the complete order, ready for VDOT’s use, and shall include all applicable freight/delivery charges. No extra charges are allowed. 4.) The steel pipe liner shall be delivered no later than thirty days from date of award. 5.) Contractor shall contact Deborah Fish at (434) 391 4080, 24 hours prior to delivery.
