1. Coordinate with the Agency representative on scheduling the work. 2. Where equipment is identified by brand, make or model, provide that item, or true equal pre-approved by the Agency representative. 3. All demolition work shall be completed before or after museum operating hours. 4. Power off and lock-out/tag-out equipment as needed. 5. Demolition/Preparation: Provide labor and materials for the following: • Remove and demo existing # 2 humidifier • Prepare the location above the ceiling to accept the new unit. • Include duct modifications as required to replace dispersion tube assembly. 6. New installation: Provide labor and materials for the following: • Replace the existing #2 humidifier with a newer DriSteem “Ultra Sorb” model. • Provide associated low pressure steam and condensate return piping as required. • Materials of construction to be: o Condensate drain: Schedule 80 carbon steel piping with threaded or socket welded joints. o Water & Tempered Drain Piping: Copper tubing with pressed joints. o Insulation: QQ #25-425-077 Replace existing #2 Humidifier Page 2 Condensate piping: Fiberglass insulation with all-service jacket. Match thickness of existing. Water Piping: ½” fiberglass insulation with all service jacket. 7. Connect new equipment with the building automated systems as specified by the Agency. 8. Connect unit to the building automated system(BAS)
