Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials (unless otherwise stated), equipment, tools, supplies, supervision and incidentals as may be required to provide these repair and installation services to approximately 14,753 square feet of roofing. There shall be no substitutions of specified material as the Center uses the Carlisle roofing system on buildings throughout the campus. Specifically: 1. Remove existing stone ballast, EPDM membrane and existing insulation down to wood deck. Approximately 4400 square feet of total roof area are covered with stone. 2. Replace any water damaged wood deck or facia. The Owner knows of two areas totaling approximately 450 square feet with marked water damage. 3. Install new tapered isocyanurate insulation, 1/8” per foot for drainage. Insulation attachment to the existing wood plank deck should utilize the standard fasteners and plates application: a 3” insulation plate with the appropriate length #12 HP fastener; fastener must imbed into the wood plank deck a minimum of 1” to satisfy Carlisle 20 year warranty; HP fasteners must be laid out so that the appropriate length fastener is used to secure the tapered insulation to the wood plank deck without penetrating through the deck. Deck is a (minimum) 2” x 6”. 4. Install Carlisle fully adhered 60 mil Black EPDM single ply roof system with proper terminations: New kynar 30 year pre-finished 24 gauge steel gravel stops at non drainage perimeters and metal drip edges at the new 6” box gutters. 5. Install new flashing on entire roof 6. Install prefinished 24 gauge 6 inch box gutter and 4 inch downfall. Owner to choose color. Currently some areas of canopy have gutter on both sides: this can be converted to a one-sided installation. Approximate footage for single sided installation is 1100 feet. 7. Cover all perimeter vertical facia wood with matching metal so that wood is covered completely for a maintenance free installation 8. Provide Carlisle 20 year total systems manufacturer’s warranty. 9. Clean up and dispose of all containers and other debris generated at job site during installation.
