Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.The Contractor shall provide x-ray services on an as-needed basis Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. The Contractor may also be required to provide emergency x-ray services after 5:00 p.m. and on weekends/holidays. 2.The Contractor may also be required to provide a mobile radiologic technologist upon request. 3.The Contractor shall provide portable x-ray equipment. The Contractor shall use radiographic equipment that conforms to the standards established by the Virginia Department of Health. Technician’s x-ray equipment will be used when isolation of a patient is a necessity, and when an offender is in the Special Management Unit or Isolation. Only licensed registered radiology technologists shall operate the equipment.4.The Contractor shall provide the requesting Institution with a radiologist interpretation within 24 hours either by telephone or fax. If a fracture is discovered, the Contractor shall notify the Institution the same day or not later than 24 hours. The interpretation shall be by a certified radiologist and a hard copy shall be provided to the requesting Institution within 7 working days at no cost to the Institution. The radiologist shall bill Anthem Healthkeepers for radiology services. 5.The Contractor shall archive all data and provide interpretations according to the state and federal guidelines of the Commonwealth of Virginia, The Library of Virginia, Records Management and Imaging Services, Division of Records Retention, Disposition Schedule and Federal Record Retention Requirements and in accordance with IT Security policies and promulgated by the Virginia Information Technologies Agency. 6.The Contractor should be available for the Institution to contact by telephone and/or pager 24 hours a day and if services are needed, must be provided by the Contractor the next working day. 7.The Contractor shall notify the Agency of any disciplinary actions or medical (or other) malpractice actions initiated against the Contractor or their subcontractor’s in writing, to include any underlying facts and circumstances of such action.8.The Contractor should maintain all current operating certifications for the equipment and ensure that all persons operating the equipment are appropriately trained and supervised in accordance with all federal, state and local laws and/or regulations.9.The Contractor should comply with all applicable ethical and clinical standards, laws, rules and regulations.10.The Contractor should provide a curriculum vitae for all proposed Radiologists and Technicians.
